Supervising Crime Scene Technician Premium Pay
This Side Letter of Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into by and between the City of Fresno
("City") and the City of Fresno Professional Employees Association, Inc. ("Association"),
representing Unit 13, Exempt Supervisory and Professional and Non -Exempt Professional
(CFPEA), collectively ("parties"), and sets forth the full and entire understanding of the parties
regarding the Supervising Crime Scene Technician premium pay in the current Memorandum of
Understanding ("MOU") between the City and the Association, specifically amending Article VIII,
Section C, Subsection 6, as follows:
ARTICLE VIII
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
C. PREMIUM PAY
6. Supervising Crime Scene Technician Premium Pay:
a. Bachelor's Degree Pa
Employees in the classes of Supervising Crime Scene Technician who
possess a four (4) year college degree (Bachelor's Degree) from an
accredited institution shall be paid an additional three percent (3%) of their
base rate of pay. This pay is pensionable under the City of Fresno Retirement
System.
b. POST Premium Pav
(1) Employees who have served at least five (5) years of full-time work in
the classification of Supervising Crime Scene Technician in the City of
Fresno Crime Scene Bureau and have successfully completed the
basic POST Crime Scene Bureau Technician course shall be paid an
additional four percent (4%) of their base rate of pay.
(2) Employees who have served at least ten (10) years of full-time work
in the classification of Supervising Crime Scene Technician in the City
of Fresno Crime Scene Bureau and who have successfully completed
the POST certified training for law enforcement supervisors shall be
paid an additional four percent (4%) of their base rate of pay.
(3) The POST Premium Pays listed in subsections 6.b(1) and 6.b(2)
above shall not be stackable.
(4) POST Premium Pay is pensionable under the City of Fresno
Retirement System.
C. The Bachelor's Degree Pay and POST Premium Pay shall be stackable.

This Agreement shall be retroactively effective on January 13, 2025 until the implementation of a
successor MOU. This subject will be addressed in the successor MOU.
