PURPOSE
The purpose of this document is to establish procedures for the use of the Fire
Station Day View in Tiburon to maintain a comprehensive Digital Records
Management System for Incident Reporting and daily activity tracking (Daily Log).

OPERATIONAL POLICY
The Tiburon Day View shall be used by all companies to maintain a record of
incidents and daily activities assigned to the fire station. It is the responsibility of the
company officer to ensure that all data entries made by members under their
command are complete and accurate. Handwritten logs (i.e. Day Books) will not be
used.
OPERATIONAL GUIDELINE
All suppression members should sign-in to work immediately after arriving at their
assigned station using the Tiburon Day View to complete the entry.
Company officers should use the Tiburon Day View to manage all activities including
but not limited to the following:
• Incident and company reports.
• Fire hydrant maintenance.
• Personnel sign-in.
• Pre-trip inspection.
• Line-up.
• Physical training.

PROCESS
Personnel Sign-In:
1. Sign on in the Day View, right click on the appropriate time slot and select
“New Activity”.
2. The “Activity” screen will open.
3. Complete all appropriate sections and enter the time the member signed in
and the date the shift ends.
Example: If the member signs in on May 1, for a 48 hour shift, the end date is
to reflect May 3. Enter a brief description of which member is off-duty, and
who the replacement is and select 201A – On-Duty (200 series activities are
for suppression personnel.
4. Assign the activity to both the station and the appropriate apparatus and click
the “completed” box. Save the activity and close the window.
5. By refreshing the Day View, the personnel sign-in will appear.
