OPERATIONAL POLICY This section intentionally left blank. OPERATIONAL GUIDELINE The Communications Center is responsible for monitoring the status of all Department units. When conditions indicate the level of resources of the engine and/or truck companies has dropped below 50 percent and will be committed to emergency operations for more than 30 minutes, on-duty battalion chiefs, the on-call duty officer, and all out-of- quarters fire companies should be advised. Upon direction of the battalion chief or the on-call duty officer, a recall should be initiated.
