A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE ROOSEVELT COMMUNITY
PLAN (PLAN AMENDMENT NO. A-98-017)
WHEREAS, on April 7, 1992, by Resolution No. 92-141, the Council adopted the
Roosevelt Community Plan; and
WHEREAS,the Development Department has received an application from Storybook
Homes to amend the land use designation of the aforementioned plan from medium-high
density residential use to neighborhood commercial and light industrial use for 8.65 acres
located at 4645 East Jensen Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the environmental assessment conducted for the proposed plan
amendment resulted in the filing of a negative declaration; and
WHEREAS, on March 17, 1999,the Fresno City Planning Commission held a public
hearing to consider Plan Amendment No. A-98-017 and recommended adoption of the
proposed negative declaration and plan amendment; and
WHEREAS, on April 6, 1999, the Council held a public hearing to consider Plan
Amendment No. A-98-017 and determined based upon the testimony and information
presented at the hearing and upon review and consideration of the environmental
documentation provided that the adoption of the proposed amendment is in the best interest
of the City of Fresno.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno as
follows:
1. The Council finds that, in accordance with their own independent judgement,
there is no substantial evidence in the record that Plan Amendment No.A-98-017
may have a significant effect on the environment and hereby adopts the negative
declaration prepared for this project.
2. The Council of the City of Fresno hereby adopts Plan Amendment No.A-98-017
amending the Roosevelt Community Plan as depicted on Exhibit A, attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
