A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO,
CALIFORNIA,AMENDING THE McLANE COMMUNITY PLAN(PLAN
AMENDMENT NO. A-98-22)
WHEREAS, on May 15, 1979, by Resolution No. 79-201, the City Council adopted the
McLane Community Plan; and,
WHEREAS, Robert and Lois Johnson have filed an application to amend the land use
designation of the aforementioned plan from the medium-high density commercial to the
neighborhood commercial plan designation for .3 acre located on the north side of East McKinley
Avenue, west of North Chestnut Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, the environmental assessment conducted for the proposed plan amendment
resulted in the filing of a mitigated negative declaration; and,
WHEREAS, on March 3, 1999, the Fresno City Planning Commission held a public hearing
to consider Plan Amendment Application No. A-98-22 and the associated negative declaration for
Environmental Assessment Nos. A-98-22 and R-98-36; and,
WHEREAS,the Fresno City Planning Commission took action to recommend approval of the
Negative Declaration for Environmental Assessment No. A-98-22, which would amend the plan
designation for the subject site from medium-high density residential to neighborhood commercial;
and,
WHEREAS, on March 23, 1999, the Fresno City Council held a public hearing to consider
Plan Amendment Application No. A-98-22 and determined, based upon the testimony and
information presented at the hearing and upon review and consideration of the environmental
documentation brovided, that the adoption of the proposed amendment is in the best interest of the

2. The Council of the City of Fresno hereby adopts Plan Amendment Application No.A-98-22
amending the land use designation of the McLane Community Plan from the medium-high
density residential to the neighborhood commercial land use designation as depicted on
Exhibit A , attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
