WHEREAS f the hereinafter described terri tory at .the effective
date of such annexation was and now is located within the ext~rior
boundari~s of the Mid-Valley County Fire Protection District; nnd
WHEREAS" Section 139~2 of the Health and safety Code of
California provides. in substance, that whenever any portion of
a fire protection district is included within D city by reaSon of

district, such viithdrs'.Ilal to be effective on the date fi:-:ed by the

. consisting of a portion of the N ~~ of I,ot 9 of Bernhard Gardens
Beginning on the Westline of Lot 9 of Bernhard Gardens, as said
Lot is shown on the Nap of Bernhard Gardens, filed in the Office
of the County Hecorder, October 20, 1943, and recorded in Volume
12 of Plats at page 50, Fresno County Records, at a point of inter-
section with the North line of the South half of that portion of
said Lot 9,' lying North of the North line of East Pine Avenue,
being also, a point on the existing City Limits of the City of
Fresno;' thence Easterly, along tIle North line of the Soutb half
of that portion of said Lot 9, lying North of the North line of
East Pine Avenue ,being also, along the existiPC" City Lind ts of
said CiJty,. to the intersection with the West line p'f Lot 10, of
said Bernhard Gardens; thence Northerly along the West line of"
said Lot 10, and along the Northerly production of the West line
of said Lot 10, being also along the existing City Limits of ~5aid
Ci ty, to a point ",hich is 30.00 feet North of the Northwest corner
of said Lot 10; thence Westerly, along a line which is parallel
with and 30.00 feet North of the North line of 'said Lot 9, to -the
intersection with the Northerly production of· the West line of
said Lqt 9, being also, a point on the existing City Limits of
said city; thence southerly, along the Northerly production of
