~lHEHEASJ on December 13, 1972, the City of Presno acquired
Parcel -No. 18 for Project No. 396, Clinton Avenue, by Quitclaim
Deed from the county of Fresnoj and
MlEREl\S) saia Parcel No. 18 which contained about 3,125 sqUure
feet in area, of which about 105 square feet were required for the
aforementioned Project No. 396, has a residual area 9urpluu to tllO
needs of the City of Fresno containing approximately 3,030 square
feeti and
WHEREAS, on March 15, 1973, the Council of the ci-ty of Fresno
approved the acquisition of the adjoining Parcel No. 17 -Project
No. 396, Clinton Avenue -from EDITH ALBERT CRE}'1S, as to a life estate
with the remainder over to FRANK CRE\\'S and ZETTA C. JENSEN -for the
sum of $1,404.00; and
WHEREAS, continued negotiation with the abovementioned Sellers
of said Parcel No. 17 hUB reBr.1 ted in an agreement whereby EDl'l'H
ALBERT CREWS, as to a life estate,~th the remainder over to VRANK
CREWS and ZE'l'TA C. JENSEN, desire to acquire said surplus land from
the City of Fresno for the sum of $500.00 which is to be deducted
from the agreed acquisition price for said Parcel N~ 17 with the
City to install the required concrete work and -pay title costs for
the disposition of the surplus property; and

to the transfer of the hereinafter described property to the afore-

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Fresno hereby approves the conveyance to EDITH ALBERT CRgWS as to
a life estate ,wi th the remainder. to FRANK CRENS and ZE'l'TA C. JENSEN J
of the following described property, under the terms and conditions

All of the Lot )IA" in· Block 8 of OAKWOOD NO.2, as said
lot is sholtlO on the Amended Map of OAKWOOD NO.2, filed
in th~ Office of the County Records June 19, 1920, and
recorded in Volume 8 of plats at Page 82,-Presno County,
Records; EXCEPTING therefrom the following:
That portion of said Lot IIAII lying East of a line Itlhich
is parallel with and. 20.00 feet West of the West line of
Lot 15 in said Block 8, and also East of a line which is
parallel \'If th and 20.00 feet Northeast of the Southvlesterly
line of said Lot IIA".
Also/EXCEPTING the following:
Beginning on the North line of said Lot "l~"} at [} poin t
which is 20.00 feet West of the Northeast corner of said
Lot "A"; thence South 89 D 31' 40" West, along the North
line of said Lot "A", a distance of 39.12 feet, to the
Northwest ·corner of said Lot "N'; thence South 31° 50'.00

36.99 feet, to a point which is 20.00 feet West of the East

to the point of beginning.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the controller of the City is
authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, all documents necessary
to conswrunate the transaction, including a grant deed of said
property, and that the Clty Clerk of the city is authorized and
directed to attest said grant deed and cause it to be clel{vered to

certified copy of thfs Resolution affixed thereto.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 73-187 ',laS
