The City of Fresno hereby prote;.;;ta the execution h/ Fresno C(Junty, undor the provisions of the Williamson Act, specifically Governrnent Code Secti.ons 51240, et seq. J of the hereinaHc.r-duHignated bnrl conservation cont:rad covering the: ptl1'cBl of land hereinafter described, which contract includes land within one mile of the exterior boundaries of the City of }'l·(}.!JnO. 2. It is the irltenL of Hw City of Fresno in prot.esting said contract to preserve its option to succeed or not succeed to the right·s) duties .. and POWel'.s of Fxesno County thereunder upon the annexation of any land included in said contract, all as contemplated and provided for under the provisions oIsaid Williamson Act. Should the· suhj cct property he located within the area des:ignatcd as Agricultnral Open Space by the City of Fresno General Plan, which is now being revised, the City of FTesno may honor said colltract upon annexation.
