A RE~OLUTION APPOINTING ENGINEER AND A'l"l'ORNEY
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 55
RESOLVED, by the Council of tho city of Frc:mo J that
\'mEREAS I this Council has cOlrunenced proceedings pursuun't
to appropriate special assessment and assoD3Hlcnt hond acts for
the construction and financing of public improvements in said
city; and
NHEREA? I the public interest and general \Vclfare \'lill be
served by appointing and employing engineers LInd attorney for
the preparation and conduct of said proceedings and t:lork in
connection \'/i th said improvements i
NOH I THEREFORE J IT IS ORDERED as fol10\'lS:
1. James L. Martin I as Public \\lorks Director of -the city
of l'X'C;!£Ji'1O I Califot111u. 13 hereby appointed as Engineer of \'lork.
HcGlasson & Associates is hereby appointed as Des:lgn EhqinelH;
2. Spencer Thomas, Jr.} as City Attorney of the City of
Fresno, California, is hereby appointed and employed to do and
perform all legal services required in the conduct of said pro-
ceedings, including any court proce~dings for the determination
of damage.s from .the works and improve;l(!ntf:J, and his compensation
is hereby fixed at C\.,ro percent (2%) of the total assessment;
3. 'l'he compensa tien of nald eng.i.neorn J the cost and
expenses of construction engineering and inspection, and said
attorney's fees shall be included 8S an incidental expense of
said proceedings and assessed as directed in the Resolution of
Intention to be adopted in said proceedings.
This resolution shall take effect and be in force upon
its ndoption.
