RESOLUTION ORDERING VACN.PION OF PUBI .. IC STREET AND ALLEY
vlliEREAS, pursuant to the Resolution of Intention No. 660-D, on file
herein, a public hearing was held on the 8th day of June, 1972, at 9:30 '
a.m. of saiddaYI at a regular meeting of the Council in the Council
Chambers of the Fresno City Hall in the City of Fresno, state of California I
at' ... ,hich 'time and place' evidence ,-/as heard for and against the proposed
vacation of the h~reinafter described public street and alley within
the City of Fresno.
'Vl-lEREAS, the Council of said city now finds from all the evidence
submitted'that the said street and alley hereinafter particularly
described'are unnecessary for present and prospective public purposes;
NOW,THEREFORE,THE COUNCIL,OF THE CITY OF FRESNO, pursuant to
the provisions of the "Street vacation Act'of 1941", being Sections
B300-8331 of the streets and High'vays Code of the State of Calfornia,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOl'1S:
1. "rhe public interest and convenience require I and it is hereby
ordeie~, tha~ the hereinafter described public street and alley in
the City of Fresno be and the same are hereby closed, vacated and
abandoned for public street purposes, all as contemplated by Resolution
,of Intention No. 660-1) adopted by the Council of said city on the 18th
day of May ,1972,to-vlit:
All of that certain alley (alsokno\>m as Geary Street), lying ~adjacent to and South of the South lines of Lots 13 in Blocks
Fand G of south Park, UB shown on the Hap of South Park, filed
'in the Office of the county Recorder, f>eptombor 15, 1887 and
recorded in Volume 1 of Plats at Page 28 J Fresno county necoros:
Also, all' of that certain Alley, lyirlg bet\<leen said BlockS F
and G I, of said South IJark i excepting that portion lying North
of North line of Lot 2 in said Blocks F and G.
That the City of Fresno does hereby reserve and except, from the said
proposed vacation of said street arid alley, the permanent easement and
the, right at any time, or from time to time'pursuant to any existing
fi~~chisea or renew~lsthe~eof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain,
operate,' replace, remove, and renew and enlarge lines of pipe and other
convenient structures; equipmental1d fixtures for the operation 'of

That all proceedings for the vacation of said street and alley shall
be and are taken subject to the foregoing reservations and exceptions.
The city Clerk of the city of Fresno shall certify to the passage
of this resolution and shall cause a certified copy tllereof attested by
the Clerk under the acinI of said city of Fresno, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the county of Fresno, State of California,
said City of Fresno being situated within said county.
