RESOJ.lUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ANNEXNl'10N '1'0 'l'BE CITY OF FRESNO OF
UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN
AND DESIGNATED HEDGES~CHESTNUT NO. 3-A
AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR
BEARING PROTESTS·
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1, Pursuant. to the provisions of the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, the council hereby initiates,
on its own motion~ proceedings to annex the hereinafter-described
uninhabited territory to the City of Fresno.
SECTION 2. 'l'he Local Agency Fonnation conunission of Fresno
County has heretofore approved the application for the proposed
. annexation herein initiated, and the proceedings therefor are
initiated/and shall be conducted and completed, in accordance
with the determinations of said Commission.in its resol~tion of
approval,
SECTION 3. Notice is given that March 18

at 9:15 A.M., in the CouncIl Chamber, city Hall, 2326 Fresno
Street, Fresno, California, is hereby fixed as the time and placd
when and where the council will hear written protests against
the annexation made by any person owning real property within·
said hereinafter-described territory.
SECTION 4. 'l'he council's reasons for desiring the annexation
are to facilitate the orderly and planned growth of the city and
to make avail~ble to said territory municipal services for
developments therein.
SECTION 5.· The uninhabited. terri tory herein proposed to be·
annexed is designated HEDGES-CHESTNUT NO. 3-A
and consists of that real property situated in the County of

cally described in Exhibit itA", n\:;\:ached hereto and hereby made a
