RESOLUTION NO. 2001-387
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, CONTINUING RESOLUTION 2001-
337 PROCLAIMING A LOCAL EMERGENCY IN AND
AROUND THE FRESNO YOSEMITE INTERNATIONAL
AIRPORT BASED UPON THE THREAT OF ENEMY
ATTACK OR SABOTAGE
WHEREAS, on October 16, 2001, the Council adopted Resolution 2001-337
proclaiming a local emergency in and around the Fresno Yosemite National Airport
based upon the threat of an enemy attack or sabotage; and
WHEREAS, on October 30, 2001, Council reviewed the facts and circumstances
giving rise to the adoption of Resolution 2001-337, found these facts to continue to exist
and based thereon Council adopted Resolution 2001-347, continuing Resolution 2001-
337 and the local emergency; and
WHEREAS, on November 20, 2001, Council reviewed the facts and
circumstances giving rise to the adoption of Resolution 2001-337, found these facts to
continue to exist and based thereon Council adopted Resolution 2001-375, continuing
Resolution 2001-337 and the local emergency; and
WHEREAS, Council finds the facts and circumstances giving rise to the adoption
of Resolution 2001-337 still exists, at least in part, and warrant the continuation of the
local emergency as proclaimed in Resolution 2001-337 in order to protect the public
health, safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno as
follows:
1. The Council finds that the facts giving rise to the existence of an
emergency continue to exist.
2. The Council finds that it is necessary to continue the effect of Resolution
2001-337, pursuant to the provisions of paragraph number 4 of that Resolution.
3. Council Resolution 2001-337 shall continue in effect without modification
until it is terminated by the Council or until it expires by operation of law.
